The remaining rhizome is cut into 3 to 4 inch pieces and dried in partial shade area. After this, it is polished with a machine, due to which the product becomes ready for sale in the market. The Board also provides facilities for marketing. Due to which farmers get the money for their produce within 15 days.

Availability of planting material

To cultivate bach, there is no need for bach plant pyre. The saplings to be planted in the first year are supplied free of cost through the board under the scheme of the state government. In the first year, 10 to 15 percent of the plants are left as per requirement, which becomes a sapling again in 40 days, which is used as a planting material nursery for planting in the next year. The remainder is collected. In this way the availability of plants to be planted every year remains maintained.

Bach is also known as Ghodbandh or Bhootnashak in Chhattisgarhi. It is used to make medicines for skin diseases, neurological disorders, stomach related diseases and heart diseases. Due to its use in many diseases, its market demand is high.
