Chhattisgarh government continues to take action against chit fund companies and return money to investors.

The process of taking action against chit fund companies by the Chhattisgarh government and returning the amount received from the auction of their properties to the investors is continuing. The amount of Rs 42 crore 77 lakh 82 thousand received from the auction of properties of chit fund company Yash Dream Real Estate will soon be returned to the investors of this company. Chhattisgarh government has so far returned an amount of Rs 33.97 crore to investors who were victims of fraud by various chit fund companies in the state. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has given instructions to the District Administration Durg to take action to immediately return the amount to the investors of Yash Dream Company as per the rules.
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel had started fulfilling his promise of doing justice to the investors of chit fund companies as soon as he assumed the reins of power. Along with a complete ban on the operation of chit fund companies in the state, the Chhattisgarh government also registered a total of 462 cases against 208 chit fund companies and arrested 700 directors/officers. In 99 cases in the state, the court has ordered attachment and auction of properties worth Rs 141.51 crore of chit fund companies, in compliance with which an amount of Rs 55 crore has already been received before the auction of the property. Including the amount of Rs 42.77 crore from the auction of properties of Yash Dream Real Estate Company located at various places in Durg district, the government got about 97. The government has received an amount of Rs 77 crore. Proceedings for auction of properties of chit fund companies worth about Rs 68 crore are under process in the court.
