Ozone layer important to protect all living beings: Director General Shri Bajaj

Director General of Chhattisgarh Regional Science Centre, Shri S. S. Bajaj has said that the ozone layer plays an important role in protecting life on Earth. He said that in the absence of ozone layer, the life of all living beings on earth will be surrounded by various crises and their existence will be in danger. Shri S. S. Bajaj was addressing school children in a program organized on the occasion of World Ozone Day today. On this occasion, along with the painting competition, subject experts also gave lectures on the importance of ozone layer and its conservation.
Director General of Chhattisgarh Regional Science Center Shri Bajaj stressed the need for collective efforts to protect and preserve the ozone layer and the need for environmental protection. In the program he gave detailed information about the importance of ozone layer and its importance for maintaining life on earth. On this occasion, special guest lecturer Manish Kumar Ahir gave a lecture on the importance of ozone layer as well as environmental protection and inspired the school children to compulsorily plant a tree on the occasion of their birthday. He said that the paintings made by the students in the painting competition showed how well the students understand our environmental issues.
Students of Savitri Bai Phule Educational Academy, Shivom Vidyapeeth, Government Higher Secondary School, Daldal Seoni and Jora participated in the program and demonstrated their creativity towards the environment. The creative skills of the students came to the fore in the painting competition. Students showcased their innovative skills through artwork based on ozone layer conservation. Present in the program were Project Director Dr. Shirish Kumar Singh, Scientist – D., Eng. Amit Kumar Meshram, Scientific Officer Pragya Kadam and JRF Shreya Mishra and Tarni Verma shared various information related to the ozone layer.
