In preparation for the upcoming Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections 2023, from the point of view of security and law and order, under the direction of the Election Commission, an intensive checking campaign is being conducted by the Transport Department at all 16 toll posts of the state and through 7 flying squads.
Keeping the elections in view, prompt checking of four-wheelers and goods carrying vehicles and suspicious persons at all checking points, including cash, liquor, gold, silver and other valuables being transported without valid documents in excess of prescribed quantity. Necessary efforts are being made by the Transport Department to stop and take action against illegal transportation of other materials affecting the environment.
Keeping in view the upcoming elections, necessary guidelines were given to all the departments by the Election Commission, in accordance with which Transport Commissioner Mr. Dipanshu Kabra gave instructions to all the enforcement in-charges of the Transport Department for intensive checking of vehicles and strict action against transportation of unwanted materials. Intensive checking of vehicles is being done continuously through the Transport Department’s 16 transport check posts located on all its borders of the state and 7 transport flying squads operating within the state.
