Raipur. 6 June 2020. Specialized Kovid Hospital in Durg, located at the Sri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences campus, has a facility to treat 115 patients. 45 patients are currently being treated in this well-equipped hospital. The hospital, run by the state government’s health department in collaboration with Sri Shankaracharya Medical College, currently has eight patients in Durg district, five in Bemetra district, 12 in Mahasamund district, 13 in Balodabazar-Bhatapara district and seven patients in Janjgir-Champa district. Are admitted for treatment.
This dedicated Kovid Hospital has 15 beds in ICU and 35 beds in HDU (High-Dependency Unit). Kovid-19 also has treatment facilities on 65 common beds. Male and female patients admitted here have been kept in separate wards. There are four bathrooms and four toilets in each of the 16 beds with isolated beds. The ten-bed wards also have four bathrooms and four toilets.
Taking care of nutritional and quality by the hospital management, food is being prepared for doctors, medical staff and patients at one place. Here patients are being provided tea-breakfast, afternoon and dinner as well as tea-biscuits in the evening. For the physical and mental well-being of the patients, yoga is also being done daily by the doctors. All wards have set-top boxes and televisions to entertain patients. With the public address system installed here, patients can immediately inform the doctors sitting in the command-room about any of their needs or problems.
