Raipur: State’s first separate quarantine center for pregnant women at village Kesla

Raipur 6 June 2020.  On the instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, special arrangements are being made for expectant mothers, children and elderly people in all quarantine centers. In this series, the first separate quarantine center for migrant pregnant women has been started at village Kesla in Bilaspur district of the state. In this quarantine center, migrant women workers returned from outside the state who are pregnant have been appointed to take better care of them.

It is important to note that the Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is very serious about the arrangement of quarantine centers and is constantly monitoring it himself. Shri Baghel last day interacted with the workers, women, village patrons and district collectors living in quarantine centers of various districts of the state and reviewed the arrangements.
A separate quarantine center has been set up at the Community Health Center for pregnant mothers at the village Kesla in Bilaspur district. This is the first quarantine center in the state where only pregnant women are housed. Presently 8 women are staying in this center. All the necessary arrangements for which are being made available here. Women doctors and staff nurses have been deployed in this quarantine center, who are providing medical care for themselves and these women with social distancing, masks, faceshields and other necessary precautions as per the prescribed guidelines. Here pregnant women are being motivated for cleanliness and hygiene along with special care.
Along with health check-up of all the women, their samples have been taken for corona examination. Nutritious food, tea, snacks are being provided to pregnant women here. To keep away from infection, cleanliness is being done three times in 24 hours at the Quarantine Center. In charge of this quarantine center, Dr. Priya Rawat said that pregnant mothers are being given necessary advice for the usefulness of the mask, proper care of themselves and the infants in their womb. Vaccination of these women has also been done so that they and the fetus can be kept free from diseases. In this center, women are happily completing their quarantine period.
