Today women are playing their role well both at home and outside. Women are successful in domestic and public life. In Bastar, the women of Danteshwari Fighter go for search operations, such a troop has been formed which is taking on the Naxalites. Women of Chhattisgarh are aware and actively participate in all activities.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel was addressing the Teeja-Pora Tihar organized at his residence in the capital Raipur today. On this special occasion, the Chief Minister’s residence had become a mother’s house for the sisters of the state and women danced enthusiastically during Teeja-Pora Tihar. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel along with his family participated in this celebration and also gave Teeja gifts to the sisters. Also, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel along with his family worshiped Lord Shankar and Mother Parvati. On the occasion of Pora, he prayed for the prosperity of the people of the state by worshiping the plow and Nandi bull for the prosperity of farming. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel along with his family met the women participating in Tihar and enjoyed cultural programs, swings and tasting Chhattisgarhi cuisine.
While addressing the Teeja-Pora festival, the Chief Minister said that whatever guests come to the state, their perception about women has changed. Women of Chhattisgarh are aware and actively participate in all activities. Therefore, when you see all the schemes of the state, you will find that they have been made keeping women at the center. He said that our government has given government holidays to make special occasions like Teeja, World Tribal Day, Karma Jayanti, Chherchera Punni more joyful. With this, we are able to celebrate our festivals with more happiness and enthusiasm. Mr. Baghel said that Chhattisgarh government has launched Kisan Nyay Yojana, labor friendly schemes, About Rs 1 lakh 75 thousand crore has been sent directly to the accounts of the people of the state through various schemes including Godhan Nyay Yojana. Due to which all sections of the state have become prosperous. He said that on the occasion of Teeja, it is believed that it rains when women go to their maternal homes. You see that it has been raining well for the last two-three days. It is a matter of happiness that the people of our state have not had to face famine in the last 5 years.
The Chief Minister said that we have recently issued instructions that those who commit crimes against women will not get government jobs. We have increased the dignity of women in the state and ensured their safety. Shri Baghel said that for the first time in Chhattisgarh, a government English school has been opened, where children from poor families have also got the opportunity to study in English medium. Our continuous effort is to make the people of the state economically prosperous.
In the Teeja-Pora festival, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhendiya said in the welcome address that the country will become great only by respecting women power. Expressing his gratitude to Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, he said that under his leadership, work has been done vigorously for the education, security and empowerment of women. Various women-centric schemes run in the state have made the path of their upliftment easier. On this occasion, MP Mrs. Phoolodevi Netam and Ms. Supriya Srinet, who had come from Delhi especially to celebrate Teeja Pora, also addressed the program. The program was conducted by Mrs. Kiranmayi Nayak, Chairperson of the State Women Commission.
On this occasion, State Mineral Development Corporation Chairman Mr. Girish Dewangan, Parliamentary Secretary Mrs. Sangeeta Sinha, Ms. Shakuntala Sahu, MLA Devati Karma, Mrs. Savitri Mandavi, Mrs. Anita Yogendra Sharma and a large number of women from all over the state were present.
