Under the state government’s innovative initiative ‘Narva Vikas’, the work being done on ground water treatment in Chhattisgarh has been appreciated by the team of Jharkhand state officials while observing it. It is noteworthy that as per the intention of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, under the guidance of Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, a large number of Narva development works are being carried out under CAMPA for ground water treatment in Vananchal.
In this regard, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Shri V. Srinivas Rao told that during the stay in Chhattisgarh yesterday by the MNREGA team of Jharkhand, field treatment and earthen dam was inspected in Narva Jamjharia drain constructed at a cost of Rs 1 crore 35 lakh under Lodam beat of Jashpur forest range. Jharkhand team was informed about all the technical aspects of earthen dam construction by Divisional Forest Officer, Jashpur, Shri Jitendra Upadhyay. Due to which a huge earthen dam has been constructed, during the inspection, the team from Jharkhand praised the work by expressing great happiness after seeing the vastness, size and water filling of the earthen dam. The earthen dam is filled with water about 3 meters deep and 800 meters long.
The inspection team also talked to local farmers. Local farmers said that the construction of the dam provided employment to about 100 farmers of 4 nearby villages for 4 to 5 months and the villagers got water available for bi-crop farming on about 20 acres of land, due to which the villagers are very happy. . At the same time, there has been an increase in enthusiasm for the protection of their forests and participation is increasing. The Forest Management Committee has released fish seed in the dam in the month of July, so that it can be used as another source of income. The total catchment area of ​​Jamjharia drain is 760 hectares.
After inspection of Jamjharia drain, the inspection team inspected the roadside tree plantation work done under MNREGA scheme. Happiness was expressed to see the protection of plants and bamboo tree guards. Under the MNREGA scheme, shady fruits, flowers and medicinal plants prepared in Balachhapar nursery of Jashpur area were inspected and the quality and maintenance of the plants was appreciated by the inspection team.
It is noteworthy that senior officials of Jharkhand state visited Jashpur on 11.09.2023. These included Secretary Rural Development Department Mr. Chandrashekhar from Jharkhand State Government, Chief Forest Conservator Research Forest and Environment Climate Change Department Mr. Sidharth Tripathi, Commissioner MNREGA Mrs. Rajeshwari B, State Program Officer MNREGA Mr. Rajeev Ranjan, State Program Officer MNREGA Mr. Nihar Ranjan, Asst. The team of engineer MNREGA Mr. Prem Shekhar Gupta had come to observe the works done under MNREGA and Narva scheme under Jashpur forest division of Chhattisgarh state. As soon as he entered the state, he was welcomed by Collector Jashpur Shri Ravi Mittal, Forest Divisional Officer Jashpur Shri Jitendra Kumar Upadhyay, Chief Executive Officer District Panchayat Jashpur Shri Sambit Mishra.
