Awareness among people about cleanliness and hygiene is important. Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, commendable work has been done to keep all the villages of the state clean. In which continuity needs to be maintained. Everyone will have to make efforts together for awareness. Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Mr. R. Prasanna expressed his views while addressing the first day of a two-day workshop on ‘Social and Behavioral Change’ organized at a private hotel in the capital Raipur today. He said that to eradicate the disease, awareness about cleanliness and hygiene will have to be spread among the people.
     In this workshop of district coordinators associated with Swachh Bharat Mission Rural, Shri Prasanna said that under solid and liquid waste management, basic infrastructure like compost pits, soak pits, waste stabilization will promote cleanliness at the rural level. On this occasion, Director Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural) Smt. Padmani Bhoi Sahu and Chhattisgarh UNICEF Chief Job Zakaria were present. 
     Under the State Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), a two-day workshop on the subject of Social and Behavior Change is being organized in a private hotel under the joint aegis of the State Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and UNICEF. In the workshop, the state level advisors discussed in detail the positive points of social and behavior change for ODF Plus with the district advisors from all the districts of the state. Presently the mission is in its second phase. In this, a target has been set to make all the panchayats of the state ODF plus by the year 2025. Under this, the work of solid and liquid waste is to be done in all gram panchayats. Shri Mukesh Rathore gave information regarding solid and liquid waste management. Similarly, Ms. Abhilasha Anand while giving information about basic facilities for ODF Plus village said that ODF Plus village means a village where there is complete ban on open defecation and at least one village panchayat has Have community toilets. Along with this, there should be toilet facilities in all the houses of the village as well as in the primary school, Panchayat building and Anganwadi centre. 
    Shri Abhishek Singh of UNICEF said that social and behavioral change empowerment of families and communities is the center point of designing development programmes. Another main objective of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is to create awareness about cleanliness among the people. Even today people are careless towards cleanliness, due to this carelessness people have to face new diseases every day. Therefore, when people become aware of cleanliness, they will pay attention towards cleanliness and move forward towards cleanliness. We have to start this from ourselves, unless we do cleanliness, we cannot dream of a clean house, village, state and country. To join this campaign, you just have to maintain cleanliness in your surrounding area and make people aware about cleanliness.
