Chhattisgarh has witnessed unprecedented development in the last five years. If we look at the report of NITI Aayog, in the last five years, 40 lakh people have come out of the poverty line. Whatever promises our government made to the public, the government has fulfilled them. Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge said this as the chief guest at ‘Bharose Ka Sammelan’ organized at village Thekwa in Rajnandgaon. The conference was presided over by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. During this, 1867 development works worth Rs 355 crore 23 lakh were inaugurated and the gift of Bhumi Pujan was given to the residents of Rajnandgaon. Besides, material worth Rs 3 crore 25 lakh was also distributed. 
On this occasion, Shri Kharge said that the government of Chhattisgarh is the government of the Dalits, the poor, the backward people and the farmers. Gandhiji used to say that I want to build such an India where even the poorest of the poor feels that this country is his. According to this feeling, work was done in Chhattisgarh. There was a time when very little paddy was bought from farmers. One lakh seven thousand metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased this year. Loans of 19 lakh farmers were waived off. Farmers got fair price for their crops through Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. English medium schools were started. We are buying minor forest produce. Tribal brothers and sisters were given forest rights. Mr. Kharge said that we have increased the unemployment allowance to Rs 2500. The Central Government also praised the Millet Mission of Chhattisgarh. 
Shri Kharge said that the work of building independent India started under the leadership of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Big industries came, industries opened in Chhattisgarh also. Lakhs of people got employment. Power plants and steel plants opened here. The foundation of the country’s industrial development was laid. Shri Kharge said that the land of Chhattisgarh is the land of communal harmony. People are very simple and easy going. He also remembered the personalities of Rajnandgaon on this occasion. He remembered Mahant Ghasidas, Thakur Pyarelal and Shri Kishorilal Shukla. He also bowed down to late freedom fighter Shri Kanhaiyalal. Also bowed down to Guru Ghasidas and Shaheed Virnarayan Singh. Mr. Kharge said that just now I had gone to the trust conference in Janjgir district. There the medical college has been named after Mini Mata. Medical college will start here soon. 
On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that this is the land of Muktibodh. This is the land of our folk artists. I salute the artists who came out of Sanskardhani. The Chief Minister said that we have done the work of providing food security to all. Everyone’s ration card is being made. We are also going to buy 20 quintals per acre of paddy from farmers. Despite the Corona epidemic, we continued to buy paddy from farmers. We always work in the interest of farmers and laborers. We buy cow dung for two rupees. Today, be it cow herders, farmers or unemployed people, we are depositing money in everyone’s account through various schemes. The Chief Minister said that we work to empower the common people. We have decided to provide pucca roofs to seven lakh people. In the socio-economic survey we have just conducted, 47 thousand people have been found who need houses, we will provide them houses. 
Discussing the achievements in the field of education, the Chief Minister said that we have worked to strengthen the education structure. 30 thousand teachers have been recruited. The old pension scheme has been restarted. The honorarium of Kotwars, Mitanins and Anganwadi workers has been increased. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri TS Singhdev, Agriculture Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu, School Education Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, Culture Minister Shri Amarjeet Bhagat, PHE Minister Shri Guru Rudra Kumar, Higher Education Minister Shri Umesh Patel, Tribal Welfare Minister Shri Mohan Markam, Bastar MP Shri Deepak Baij also addressed. Former Union Minister Kumari Shailaja, Assembly Speaker Dr. Charan Das Mahant were also present on this occasion. Along with this, Forest and Climate Change Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Dahria, Revenue Minister Mr. Jai Singh Agarwal,
