Forest Minister inaugurated the World Music Program in Sirpur
Guests and speakers from India and abroad reached Sirpur

Forest, Housing and Environment Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar inaugurated the three-day World Music Program organized in Sirpur rich in archaeological monuments, rich tradition, cultural heritage. The program was presided over by Pujya Bhadanta Arya Nagarjuna Surei Sasai, President of Nagarjuna Foundation Sirpur and Geshe Dorji Damdul, director of the Cultural Center of H.H. Dalai Lama, Tibet House. CSID President Mr. Nandkumar Sai, Archaeologist, Nagpur Maharashtra Author Dr. Satyajit Chandrikapure, Maharashtra Director of Travel and Tourism Department Dr. Priyadarshi M. Khobragade was inaugurated in the special hospitality. On this occasion, the guests were welcomed by Mr. Satish Jaggi, Chairman of Sirpur Development Authority.
Addressing the World Music Program, Forest and Environment Minister Mohammad Akbar said that Sirpur is a historical archaeological city. World music program is being organized here. With this event, the fame of Sirpur will reach across the country and abroad. He said that followers of Buddhist community are present here, He is welcome. He said that adequate funds have been arranged by the government for the development of Sirpur through Sirpur Development Authority. With this, Sirpur’s name will be registered in the development and tourism map of the area. He said that the work of reviving the development of Sirpur is being done by our government through the authority. He said that every possible initiative is being taken for the development of the area including the historical city of Sirpur. He also said that since this is a forest area, one hectare of land can be given for community development on the proposal of the Gram Sabha. He told that 34 villages of 17 gram panchayats are included under this.
In the program, CSID Chairman Shri Nand Kumar Sai said that Sirpur is a reflection of our ancient history. There is a whole world of historical splendor and culture on the banks of Sirpur itself. People from all over the world have been coming here for many years. Today the glory of Sripur is shining in the country and the world. In the program, Chairman of Sirpur Development Authority, Mr. Satish Jaggi said that this program is an important event in the direction of spreading the historical importance of Sirpur to the country and the world. He said that as per the intention of the Chief Minister, there will be no let-up in the development of Sirpur. We are moving forward in getting Sirpur recognized as World Heritage. During this time, guests from various parts of the country including the region have arrived for the musical programme. The program will continue till September 9.
According to the schedule, on the second day on September 8, the program will be organized under the chief hospitality of Rajya Sabha MP Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge and under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and special hospitality of Mr. Deepak Baij MP and Mr. Shyamji Chauhan Nij Mandir Khatuji Rajasthan. The third day of the program will end with the ceremony.
