The decisive exercise has started today in the Congress regarding candidate selection for the meeting. The state election committee is engaged in brainstorming late evening at Rajiv Bhawan. The sealed envelopes brought by the claimants will be opened at block and district level. All the members including Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel are included in the meeting being chaired by the committee’s convenor and PCC president Deepak Baij.
According to the office-bearers of the organization, the election committee can take a decision by first counting the opinion in single name seats. At the same time, after this, panels of maximum two names will be prepared for other seats. However, there will be an attempt to reach consensus first.
