Training workshop lasted for 4 days at Chhattisgarh Regional Science Center
Training given by Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology in collaboration with Science Royal Society of Chemistry

With the aim of increasing the skill development and knowledge of secondary and higher secondary school teachers, a training workshop was organized by the Chhattisgarh Science Technology Council in collaboration with the Royal Society of Chemistry from 22 to 25 August. The teachers participating in this 4-day workshop at Chhattisgarh Regional Science Center expressed their enthusiasm about implementing new teaching methods. In the workshop, teachers became aware of innovative teaching methods and learned how to make science activities and experiments more accessible and attractive for middle and high school students to teach and explain.
The training program was led by renowned teacher developer, Jaya Swaminathan of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He demonstrated to the teachers through a series of science activities and practical experiments. These teaching techniques were carefully designed to help middle and high school students understand complex scientific concepts. Director General of Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology Mr. S.S. Bajaj congratulated on the successful completion of the training programme. Emphasizing on such initiatives to raise the education level of the state, he said that teachers play a vital role in shaping the future of our country. We have to lead in the development of our students and progress of the society, by providing them effective training. At the end of the workshop, Scientist Dr. Mrs.J. Of. Rai proposed the vote of thanks. Project Director Scientist Dr. Shirish Kumar Singh, Scientific Officer Mrs. Pragya Kadam, Engineer Amit Kumar Meshram, and the team of Chhattisgarh Science Center provided their important support in organizing the workshop.

The Royal Society Teacher Developers is conducting workshops for science teachers in schools in India, Thereby they are being given techniques to make science more interesting and attractive to the students at secondary and higher secondary school level. Training workshops are provided free of charge and include plans that are inexpensive and readily available.
