Bijapur district received maximum rainfall in the state, less in Surguja district.

According to the information compiled by the State Level Control Room set up by the State Government’s Revenue and Disaster Management Department, the state has recorded an average rainfall of 722.5 mm since June 1, 2023. According to the rainfall recorded in various districts of the state from June 01, 2023 till today, August 26 morning, the highest average rainfall of 1264.8 mm has been recorded in Bijapur district and the lowest average rainfall of 336.0 mm in Surguja district. According to the information received from the state level flood control room, since June 1, an average rainfall of 655.3 mm has been recorded in Surajpur district, 688.7 mm in Balrampur, 589.6 mm in Jashpur, 705.2 mm in Korea, 713.8 mm in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur.
Similarly, 823.1 mm in Raipur district, 723.2 mm in Balodabazar, 658.3 mm in Gariaband, 750.2 mm in Mahasamund, 721.4 mm in Dhamtari, 736.8 mm in Bilaspur, 884.0 mm in Mungeli, 812.2 mm in Raigarh, 660.6 mm in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh. Average rainfall was recorded in Janjgir-Champa 615.6 mm, Sakti 608.2 mm, Korba 711.2 mm, Gorela-Pendra-Marwahi 733.2 mm, Durg 578.3 mm. 562.0 mm in Kabirdham district, 780.6 mm in Rajnandgaon, 917.5 mm in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, 745.3 mm in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 764.0 mm in Balod, 558.8 mm in Bemetara, 745.3 mm in Bastar, 672.5 mm in Kondagaon, Kanker recorded 677.1 mm, Narayanpur 658.0 mm, Dantewada 835.0 mm and Sukma 1050.7 mm average rainfall since June 1.
