Baghel requested for early settlement of liabilities by setting a time limit

Said- additional economic burden on the state due to non-compensation of loss of surplus paddy

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel wrote a letter to the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, drawing attention to the pending liabilities of the Government of India. In this letter, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has written that in the present situation, the pending liabilities of the state agencies at the level of the Government of India/Food Corporation of India have reached about Rs.6,000 crore.
The Chief Minister has said in the letter that the state government has to bear a huge loss even in disposal of the remaining paddy after the rice deposited by the state government in the central pool, which is not compensated by the Government of India. Due to this the state government has to bear additional financial burden.
In this letter, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has requested Prime Minister Mr. Modi that in view of the seriousness of the situation, he should try to direct the concerned authorities to settle all long pending dues of the state agencies by setting a time limit. Do this and take necessary action to transfer the legal claim amount of the state to the state government soon.
