Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Chowk and Sarva Adivasi Samaj Mangal Bhawan did Bhoomi Poojan

Tribal, Scheduled Caste Development Minister Mr. Mohan Markam today participated in the program of World Tribal Day organized by the District Tribal Society at the Town Hall located at District Headquarters Bemetara. Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Shri Gurudayal Singh Banjare, MLA Ashish Chhabra and many public representatives and office bearers of the society were present in the programme.
Minister Mr. Mohan Markam also performed Bhumi Pujan of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Chowk and Sarv Adivasi Samaj Mangal Bhavan, Gunarbod on this occasion. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, along with all sections of the society, the tribal society is also progressing rapidly in all fields including education, knowledge-science, art-culture in the last five years. Tribal society has played an important role in the development of the country and the state. He told the present children to move forward by studying and writing with full dedication.
He said that the Government of Chhattisgarh is making continuous efforts to preserve and promote the culture of tribals. The work of saving and grooming Devgudis and Ghotulas is being done by the state government. Along with this, Adivasi Parab Samman Nidhi Yojana has been started for organizing tribal Teej-festivals enthusiastically. In order to introduce the tribal culture to the country and the world, the National Tribal Dance Festival has been started in the state. A general holiday has been declared on World Tribal Day.
Minister Shri Markam asked general knowledge questions to the children. The children answered with full confidence. Mr. Markam has extended hearty congratulations and best wishes to everyone on World Tribal Day. Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Shri Gurudayal Singh Banjare, MLA Ashish Chhabra also addressed the program. Traditional cultural programs were presented in the programme. Women performed Sua dance.
