On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of independence, in the photo exhibition organized in the Town Hall of the capital Raipur, Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi’s first visit to Chhattisgarh in 1920 and second visit to Chhattisgarh in 1933, former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, former Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi and former Prime Minister Late Shri Rajiv The rare photographs and enlightening information of Gandhi’s stay in Chhattisgarh is attracting children, elders and youth.
The quiz competition being organized for children at the exhibition site and the display of ambitious and public welfare government schemes of the state government through documentaries on the LED screen is also the center of attraction for the people. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated this exhibition organized by the Public Relations Department to introduce the new generation to the contribution of the great freedom fighters of Chhattisgarh in the freedom movement of the country and to provide important information about the plans of the government to the people. Rare photographs of important documents of immortal revolutionaries of Chhattisgarh displayed in the exhibition have become the center of attraction of the people. Everyday a large number of common citizens, college students and school children visit this exhibition and appreciate it freely. A quiz competition has also been organized for the students in this photo exhibition. In which students are participating enthusiastically. Enlightening things are also being told to the students through the exhibition, so that it becomes easier for the participants to prepare for competitive exams. Questions related to history, culture, English, agriculture and famous places of Raipur and other important topics are asked through quizzes and children who give correct answers are also being rewarded with prizes immediately.

In this photo exhibition, which will run from 15 to 21 August 2023 at Townhall, introduction of the fighters of Chhattisgarh who made their invaluable contribution in India’s freedom struggle, photographs of important documents of immortal revolutionaries of Chhattisgarh, ambitious schemes of Chhattisgarh government and various public welfare schemes. Detailed information is also being given. On this occasion, useful and informative publicity material based on various public welfare schemes including ambitious schemes of the government is also being distributed free of cost to the visitors.
