BJP has announced candidates for 21 seats in Chhattisgarh. On Thursday, BJP has released the first list which has the names of 21 candidates. In this, MP Vijay Baghel has been fielded from Patan seat. At present Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is the MLA from this seat. After being nominated as the candidate, Vijay Baghel said that with the blessings of the people, he will defeat the Congress.
10 seats belong to the Scheduled Tribes, one seat has been given to the Scheduled Caste category. A marathon meeting of BJP’s Central Election Committee was held on Wednesday itself. In which discussions were held in Delhi with many leaders from Chhattisgarh including Dr. Raman Singh, BJP President Sav and Leader of Opposition Chandel. After which 21 names have been announced on Thursday.
Talking about Kharsia seat, Mahesh Sahu was fielded from here, before that former IAS OP Chowdhary was fielded. He was defeated by Umesh Patel of Congress. he got 94 thousand votes

The BJP has fielded 50-year-old Bhulan Singh Maravi, a tribal candidate, from Prem Nagar, a general seat. In 2008, the seat of Prem Nagar became unreserved.
Bhulan Singh Maravi is former District Panchayat member and District Vice President of BJP. He had won the election of District Panchayat member in 2015 from Ramanujnagar area. He was also the candidate for the District Panchayat President of BJP. Due to cross voting, Bhulan Singh lost the election of District Panchayat President. He is currently also handling the rest of the responsibilities of the BJP organization. Bhulan Singh Maravi started his political career from his home constituency Ramanujnagar district Surajpur, from where he was Sarpanch many times.
Bhulan Singh is universally accepted among all the people of BJP.
Bhatgaon Assembly – Unreserved
BJP has fielded 30-year-old Lakshmi Rajwada from the general seat.
Lakshmi Rajwade is currently a member of Surajpur Zilla Panchayat. District Panchayat member has been elected from Latori-Silphili area. She is currently the District President of Surajpur BJP Mahila Morcha. Earlier she has been a member of Surajpur district. In a very short time, Laxmi Rajwada made her inroads in the BJP. Her husband Thakur Rajwade is the secretary in the Gram Panchayat in Surajpur district itself. His residence is in Latori area.
Pratappur Assembly – ST
This time BJP has given ticket to 44 year old Shakuntala Porte.
Shakuntala Porte is an advocate by profession and currently she is the President of BJP Mahila Morcha Balrampur. Shakuntala Porten has been active in BJP for a long time. She is considered a fiery BJP leader. Her husband is posted as constable in Surguja district.

BJP has given ticket to 56 year old Prabodh Minj.
Prabodh Minj is currently BJP’s State Working Committee member and Leader of Opposition in Municipal Corporation Ambikapur. Prabodh Minj is a Civil Engineer. He was the mayor of Ambikapur Municipal Corporation area twice. He was the Mayor of Municipal Corporation Ambikapur from 2004 to 2009 and from 2009 to 2014. Prabodh Minj has also been a member of the Minority Commission in the Raman government.
