So far, about 71 thousand 712 workers and 453 other passengers have been brought back through 53 trains. A total of 59 laborers special trains have been agreed by the state government for safe return of workers from other states, out of which 39 crore 74 lakh 31 thousand 330 rupees have been paid to railway boards for 39 laborers special trains.
Labor Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahriya informed that the necessary amount is being paid by the building and other construction workers’ welfare board for traveling expenses of laborers to various railway divisions for labor special train to bring back migrant workers to Chhattisgarh. Dr. Dahria said that due to the lockdown, the workers who are reaching the borders of the Chhattisgarh state and all the workers passing through the state got relief from the labor, food, drinking water, health tests, free delivery of Charan Paduka and free transportation. is. The people of the administration are helping them in every possible way by considering the migrant laborers reaching the borders of Chhattisgarh, irrespective of the state, as a guest of Chhattisgarh.
He informed that by arranging a team of officers of the labor department, rationing and cash etc. are also being arranged for the workers in coordination with various industrial institutions, employers and managers. 38 crore 26 lakh rupees have also been paid to 26 thousand 205 workers of the state. In the second phase of lockdown, about 1 lakh 4 thousand workers have been provided re-employment in the exempted activities and industrial areas from April 21 and work has started in more than 1390 small and big factories.
