Chief Minister instructs all departments to enter into a ‘rate contract’ with C.S.I.D.C at the earliest
Raipur, 30 May 2020.In a bid to encourage marketing of goods produced in small scale industries of the state, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has instructed all departments to enter into a ‘rate contract’ with C.S.I.D.C at the earliest. He has issued directions to provide a list of items purchased by the departments to the Department of Industries: C.S.I.D.C, as soon as possible and asked C.S.I.D.C to determine the rates of all goods at the earliest.
It is noteworthy, that earlier instructions were given by the State Government to ascertain the rates of goods produced by small industries of the state by a a rate contact with C.S.I.D.C, but still many departments have not decided the rate contacts for goods purchased on a regular basis. Chief Minister has said that in order to ensure that the commercial activities in the state are encouraged and the state does not suffer a loss of GST, the supply of such goods, which are not produced in the state and are purchased by the departments on a regular basis, should be made only through the authorized dealers of the producer companies in the state.
