Governor Mr. Vishwabhushan Harichandan today O.P. Virtually attended the third convocation ceremony of Jindal University, Raigarh. On this occasion, he said that along with the degree, the students should contribute in building a new India and a self-reliant India by taking initiation for nation building.
    In the convocation ceremony, 22 gold, 24 silver and 22 bronze medals were awarded to 522 students with PhD, post graduate, graduate and diploma degrees.

Governor Shri Harichandan congratulated all the students, parents and teachers who received the degree. In his speech, he said that today India is called the country of youth and it is estimated that by the year 2030, the maximum number of youth in the world will be in our country. In such a situation a massive change is needed and in the near future a change is also needed in the field of higher education. We need such an education system.
Which is based on positive methods of teaching and learning which can encourage self-reliance.

    He said that the new National Education Policy-2020 is a well-planned roadmap to develop such an eco-system which will enhance the talent of our young generation. NEP aims to prepare students for the world of the future, while equipping them with the best of our traditions. Educational institutions have an important role in this.

    Addressing the students, Mr. Harichandan said that after completing your education, you will now face the real world. A rapidly changing world requires critical thinking and quick adaptation to new situations. Now it is your responsibility to fulfill your duty towards your family, society and country. To use his education for the betterment of the exploited, deprived and backward people of the society. Help them to take the benefits of the schemes of the government to all the needy. Our country is the largest democracy in the world. Keeping the feeling of pride in the country and the people of the country, always keep the interest of the country paramount. Students need to be at the forefront of removing social and other evils that are hindering the nation’s prosperity and development on various fronts.

At the convocation ceremony, Chhattisgarh University Regulatory Commission Chairman Dr. Umesh Kumar Mishra, Chancellor of the University Mrs. Shalu Jindal, Vice Chancellor Dr. R.D. Patidar, Managing Director of Jindal Steel Mr. Bimalendra Jha, officials of the University, H.O.D. Professors, faculty members, parents, students were present.
