Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today participated in the ‘Dastan-e-Azadi’ program organized at the auditorium of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur. The program was organized by Shri Durga Devi Shikshan Samiti, Park Foundation and Sanmati Welfare Society in collaboration with Culture Department and Chhattisgarh Private School Association. In the program ‘Dastan-e-Azadi’, Mr. Himanshu Vajpayee, Ms. Pragya Sharma, Mr. Vedant Bhardwaj and Mr. Ajay Tipaniya presented a musical presentation of the history of India’s independence in an interesting style.

    On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that today is August 8 and it is a very important day in India’s freedom struggle. On this day on August 8, 1942, Mahatma Gandhi started the Quit India Movement. This movement is a unique example of non-violent movement in the whole world. The Chief Minister said that the contribution of great men and freedom fighters in getting freedom to the country can never be forgotten. His dream was not only limited to achieving independence, but he was also dreaming of re-building an independent India.
    Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that when freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Bhagat Singh were fighting against the British, they were also preparing the future of India. Mahatma Gandhi had dreamed of Gram Swaraj. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru dreamed of a modern India with a scientific outlook. When Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru became the Prime Minister after getting independence, he laid the foundation for building modern India.
     While appreciating the program ‘Dastan-e-Azadi’ centered on Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that all the intellectuals and students of the place have participated in this program. The contribution of legends and freedom fighters in the country’s independence was presented in a very interesting manner. He used to narrate all this through story-telling and also through stories from grandmother and grandmother. Taking forward the same practice, today we were listening to the program of ‘Dastan-e-Azadi’, this program is also very educative. A large number of school students and students were present in the programme, along with Chief Minister’s advisor Mr. Vinod Verma and senior citizens and intellectuals Dr. Rakesh Gupta, Mr. Rakesh Chaturvedi, Mr. Rajeev Gupta, Mr. Mukesh Shah, Mr. Vijay Chopra and Mr. Avesh Tiwari. .
