Raipur: 25 new animal dispensaries and 17 new animal disease research laboratories will be started in Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has made several provisions in the current budget for conservation and promotion of livestock in the state. With this, the farmers and animal herders of the state will get various facilities including animal treatment and artificial insemination. Along with agriculture, villagers will be facilitated to adopt sources of supplementary income like dairy, goat, pig, poultry business. A provision has been kept in the budget by the state government to start 25 new veterinary dispensaries. With the commencement of these new veterinary dispensaries, their number will increase from 835 to 860. Similarly, after the establishment of 17 new animal disease research laboratories, their number will increase to 33.

In order to increase the facilities of health protection, timely vaccination and castration of animals, a provision has been made in this year’s budget for construction of State Animal Home and Animal Hospital at a cost of Rs 2 crore 18 lakh 50 thousand in Datrenga village of Raipur district. Similarly, provision has been made for 25 new veterinary dispensaries at a cost of Rs 2 crore 85 lakh to increase the facility of animal treatment. These include village Dudhli in Balod district, Suhela and Balapur in Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, Khodri in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, Daihan, Umarwahi and Sonesrar in Rajnandgaon district, Silli and Non Birra in Korba district, Bagarkatta in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district. , Temra in Janjgir-Champa district, Phunda in Durg district, Junwani in Kabirdham district, Maubhata and Khati in Bemetara district. Similarly Ghat Lohanga, Madhota, Lavagaon Mohlai, Chhote Deora and Sirisguda in Bastar district, Badabadami and Gagoli in Surguja district, Mirtur in Bijapur district,

Apart from this, due to the provision of establishment of 17 new animal disease research laboratories in the budget, their number will increase to 33. New Animal Disease Research Laboratories Balodabazar, Balod, Bemetara, Mungeli, Gorela-Pendra-Marwahi, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, Sarangarh-Bilaibarh, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, Sakti, Gariaband, Balrampur, Surajpur, It will be started in Kondagaon, Sukma, Bijapur, and Narayanpur.
