Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel transferred the amount to the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyaya Yojana

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel transferred an amount of Rs. 15 crore 29 lakh directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana as the 73rd installment at his residence office here today. On this occasion, from July 14-31, 2023, the Chief Minister released an amount of Rs 5 crore 60 lakh to the rural cattle rearing farmers selling cow dung in Gothans and Rs 9 crore 69 lakh to Gothan committees and women self-help groups. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Godhan Nyaya Yojana has achieved unique success in the last three years. This scheme has been appreciated not only in Chhattisgarh but across the country. Many states of the country have implemented such schemes by following us. Through this scheme, the sisters of the self-help group have become financially independent. Dung sellers and Gauthan committees have earned good income. Interest in animal husbandry has increased among the farmer brothers.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that for the past several months, it is being seen that 60 to 70 percent of the amount to be paid for the purchase of cow dung is being done by the Gauthan committees from their own accumulated capital. This is the result of the activism and hard work of the Gothan committees. Still 4.83 lakh quintal vermi compost is available in Gothans. I appeal to all the farmer brothers to use maximum organic fertilizers in the fields.

In the program, Agriculture Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu said that the work of sowing has been done in about 38 lakh hectare. Seeding and transplanting work is going on in the fields. We have full faith that this time also the farmers will produce well. Farmers in Chhattisgarh are taking full advantage of government schemes. Due to which their economic condition is getting strengthened.

It is notable that the role of self-supporting Gothans is continuously increasing in cow dung procurement. Out of the payment of Rs 5.60 crore to the cow dung vendors, only Rs 2.29 crore was paid by the government. While Rs 3.31 crore was paid by self-supporting Gothans from their own funds. There are 10,278 Gothans built and operated in the state, out of which 5985 Gothans have become completely self-supporting. Self-supporting Gauthans have so far collected cow dung worth Rs 70.27 crore from cattle rearing farmers with their own funds.

It is worth mentioning that after transferring the amount to the farmers today, Rs 541.66 crore has been paid to the beneficiaries under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana. Under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, 128.34 lakh quintal cow dung has been procured in Gothans, out of which Rs 250.08 crore has been paid to cow dung vendors in lieu of purchase of 125.54 lakh quintal cow dung. After paying Rs 5.60 crore today, an amount of Rs 255.68 crore has been paid so far for cow dung purchase. A payment of Rs 257.29 crore has been made to Gauthan committees and women self-help groups. After payment of Rs 9.69 crore today, this figure has increased to Rs 266.98 crore. In the programme, Advisor to Chief Minister Mr. Pradeep Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrat Sahu, Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Managing Director Godhan Justice Mission Dr. Ayaz Fakirbhai Tamboli, State Nodal Officer RIPA Mr. Gaurav Singh,
