What is the order of the collector
If cattle are found on the road, a fine of Rs 1,000 will be charged from the livestock owners. The administration team will remove the stray animals on the highway and shift them to Gothans. Some places on the National Highway connected to the city will be marked and monitored there.
Stray animals will be caught and sent to the nearest Kanji House. Raipur Collector has authorized the Secretary of Gram Panchayat for this work. Action will be taken against those found responsible under the Animal Trespass Act. Along with this, 8 thousand 687 animals have been shifted to Gaushalas and Gothans.

Mayank Chaturvedi, Commissioner of Raipur Municipal Corporation, has given duty in two shifts to catch animals even on holidays. Instructions have been issued to Zone Commissioner level officers. Zone commissioners of all 10 zones of Municipal Corporation Raipur have been asked to monitor and catch stray animals on the roads. Make sure that not a single cattle is on the road.

The Corporation Commissioner has asked the Kanji Houses and Gothans located in the zone to fill the consent letter on leaving the cow. In which it will have to be written that ‘in future we will keep the cow tied up and will not leave it in the open’. If the cow is not taken from Kanji House by the owners on time, the cows will be auctioned as per the rules. Fodder, water, shed will be arranged in Kanji House, Gothan. The operation of Kanji House will be done with the fine and the amount received in the auction. The Chief Secretary had said to monitor with cameras.
In fact, the High Court has given orders to prevent accidents on the roads due to animals. A meeting related to this was held in the ministry. The meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain. Municipal Corporation has started catching stray cattle with Cow Catcher vehicle in Raipur. More than 40 stray animals were caught during the day. After catching 14 stray animals from Santoshi Nagar, Tarun Bazar Bhatagaon, ISBT, Chandni Chowk, Siddharth Chowk in Zone 6 in front of Boriyakhurd Sister Bhawan in Ward 54 of Zone 10, 8 stray animals have been sent to Gokul Nagar Gauthan.
