526 crore has been paid to the beneficiaries so far

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will transfer an amount of Rs 15 crore 29 lakh directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana on August 5 as the 73rd installment. This program of online money transfer will be held in the Chief Minister’s residence office. On this occasion, from July 14-31, 2023, the Chief Minister will release an amount of Rs 5 crore 60 lakh to the rural cattle rearing farmers selling cow dung in Gauthans and Rs 9 crore 69 lakh to Gauthan committees and women self-help groups. In Gothans, in the second fortnight of July, 2 lakh 80 thousand quintals of cow dung has been procured under Godhan Nyaya Yojana.
The role of self-supporting Gothans is continuously increasing in cow dung procurement. Out of the payment of Rs 5.60 crore to cow dung vendors, only Rs 2.29 crore will be paid by the government, while Rs 3.31 crore will be paid by the self-employed Gothans from their own funds. There are 10,278 Gothans built and operated in the state, out of which 5985 Gothans have become completely self-supporting. Self-supporting Gauthans have so far collected cow dung worth Rs 70.27 crore from cattle rearing farmers with their own funds.
It may be noted that under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, Rs 526 crore has been paid to the beneficiaries so far. This figure will increase to Rs 541.66 crore after payment of Rs 15.72 crore on August 5, which also includes bonus amount of Rs 18 crore released to women groups. Under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, 128.34 lakh quintal cow dung has been procured in Gothans, out of which Rs 250.08 crore has been paid to cow dung vendors in lieu of purchase of 125.54 lakh quintal cow dung. After the payment of Rs 5.60 crore on August 05, this amount will be Rs 556.68 crore. A payment of Rs 257.29 crore has been made to Gauthan committees and women self-help groups. After the payment of Rs 9.69 crore, this figure will increase to Rs 266.98 crore.
