Political uproar continues in the state regarding the inclusion of 12 tribal groups in the Scheduled Tribes. The BJP and the Congress have been at loggerheads over who benefited this section. On Tuesday, BJP state president Arun Saw said that this was possible because of the central government. In response to this, the statement of the Congress also came to the fore that had the Congress not made efforts, this would not have been possible at all.

BJP state president Arun Saw said- 12 tribal groups of the state who had not been able to get their right to be included in the Scheduled Tribes since independence, Congress governments had deprived them of their rights for decades just by making an excuse for clerical error was kept.

These castes are :- Bhariya Bhumia synonyms Bhuiya, Bhuiyan, Bhuyan, Dhanwar synonym Dhanuhar Dhanuvar, Nagasia, Nagasia synonym Kisan, Savar, Savra synonyms Saunra, Sanwara, Dhangar, with correction, Binjhiya, Kodaku Along with Kodaku, Kondh, Kond, Bharia, Bharia, Pando, Pando, Pando have been included in the tribe category.

Now that the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has returned them their rights by getting the bill passed in both the houses, then the Congress government of the state is shamelessly trying to take credit for this. In this regard, the Chief Minister and the Congress are only telling white lies to take credit.

Shaw’s claim
Arun Saw said- The truth is that this bill was passed by the Lok Sabha only on 21st December 2022, since then the Congress continuously obstructed the proceedings of the Parliament on one pretext or the other so that this bill could not pass through the Rajya Sabha and become a law. Be able to become He tried his best to hang, hang and distract it. When this important bill was being discussed in the House, all the Congress members coming from Chhattisgarh quota were absent.

Saw said- I want to ask the Congress that why did false politics every time on this important subject? Despite Congress rule in undivided Madhya Pradesh and the country for decades, when these communities were conspiredly deprived of their rights due to mere typographical error, then why is Congress feeling pain today when Modi ji gave them back their rights?

Baij said – BJP in the race to take credit
State Congress President Deepak Baij said that it was due to the efforts of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and the Congress government and due to the legal recommendations, people belonging to 12 caste groups were included in the Scheduled Tribes category. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had also written a letter to this effect on 11 February 2021 to Prime Minister Modi. The Congress, while being in the opposition, had agitated for the inclusion of these caste groups in the Scheduled Tribes. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel himself, while being the state president, has been continuously raising voice for their demands by involving them in the movements of other societies including Saura Samaj.

Raman Singh exploited
State Congress President Deepak Baij said that Raman Singh, who had exploited the tribals for 15 years, and the BJP are getting upset in the race to claim credit for inclusion of 12 caste groups in the Scheduled Caste category. Raman Singh and BJP leaders are making statements to take credit that it happened because of their efforts. What meaningful initiative did he take in this direction during the 15 years of his government? In the last four years of his government, there was a BJP government both at the center and in the state. Raman Singh was also influential as the chief minister of the BJP. In these four years, why was the decision not taken from the Center according to the demands of these 12 sub-castes? BJP and Raman Singh did not want this caste group to get their constitutional rights.

State Congress President Deepak Baij said that Raman Singh’s reign was a time of exploitation and trouble for the tribals. Raman Singh had made the law to grab the lands of the tribals by bringing the Tribal Land Amendment Bill. Withdrawn after opposition from Congress. The land of tribals in Louhandiguda in Bastar was not returned even after the Tata plant was not set up, whereas according to the Land Acquisition Act 2013 there is a law to return the land.

The Raman government kept the land of the tribals for itself by making a lead bank. After the formation of the Congress government, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel got their lands returned. Forest rights lease and PESA law were kept in abeyance. In Raman Raj, the fundamental and constitutional rights of tribals were canceled in Bastar Surguja. They were forcibly confined in prisons. Their killings were the reason why the tribal community had despised the BJP.
