Now the Bharatiya Janata Party of Chhattisgarh has claimed that cow dung scam has taken place in the state. It is being compared to the famous fodder scam in Bihar. BJP state president Arun Sao accused the state government of massive misuse and scam of Rs 1,300 crore in the name of Gothans. BJP leader, OP Choudhary, along with Kedar Gupta, spoke to the press on Saturday.
BJP leaders have demanded that the Gothan scam should be investigated by the CBI on the lines of the fodder scam in Bihar. A letter is being sent to CBI in this regard. Sao said in two words that in the name of mother cow, the corrupt state government of Congress has done a bigger scam than the fodder scam in Bihar. There is neither cow nor cow dung in these so-called knots of the state government.
It was said on behalf of the BJP- Recently, only cow dung scam worth Rs 269 crore has come to the fore and the state government could not even answer this allegation in the Vidhansabha. The Congress had taken an oath by taking the water of the Ganges in hand, but its state government neither spared Mother Ganga nor spared Gaumata.
BJP went to more than 3 thousand Gothans
Referring to the ‘Pol Khol Abhiyan’ launched by the BJP recently reaching 3,948 Gauthans in the state, he said that there is no cow anywhere in all the Gauthans of the state. In many places, while tolerating the hooliganism of the Congress, the violence of the government, etc., the workers have collected data from all over the state by risking their lives. At many places, Congressmen thrashed even in front of media cameras. The condition of mismanagement is that in October 2022, 150 cows died of hunger, thirst and suffocation in just 3 Gothans. 25 cows died in Achanakpur Gauthan itself.
There is a claim of 9,290 Gothans in the state, but in 2023-24, 80% of these Gothans, which take the budget amount of 175 crores, do not have cows. There is a rule to keep 300 cows in each Gauthan. Sav alleged that the amount extorted from the Gram Panchayats was not spent in Gothans and in the gorakhdhandha in the name of Gothan, the Congress government has robbed the rights of most Panchayats/Sarpanches.
Congress told the mind trick
After BJP, Congress also spoke to the media on this issue. State Congress Communications Department President Sushil Anand Shukla while discussing with reporters said that BJP has no issue left against the Congress government. Issueless BJP is not able to oppose the public interest works of the state government, then it vents its anger by making false allegations in successful schemes.
Congress leaders said- The government has made an innovative effort to take care of the animals of the state by making 9790 Gothans in the state. This whole scheme is operated through the cooperation of the villagers, the Gauthan committees formed by the villagers and the self-help groups of the sisters of the village. The BJP is questioning the loyalty and honesty of the villagers by making false allegations of corruption on this scheme. Allegations of corruption among Gothans is a brainwash of the BJP.
