On the occasion of Global Tiger Day, awareness and Eco Development Committee based exhibition on issues related to tiger conservation was organized in Jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand today. People from all over the country appreciated the stalls put up by all the three tiger reserves of Chhattisgarh in the exhibition. Wild Raw Honey of Maikal Shahad Society (Boiraha) operated under Achanakmar Tiger Reserve, organic products of Garima Manch (Ganiari), products of Chhattisgarh Herbal Brand attracted people’s attention and forest lovers showed curiosity to know about it.
Along with this, the vulture conservation program of Indravati Tiger Reserve and the exhibition of ‘Bell Metal Art’ and the livelihood-based exhibition through eco-tourism conducted by self-help groups in the buffer area of Udanti-Sitanadi Tiger Reserve, wildlife and human beings in the tiger reserves of Chhattisgarh. In the program organized on the occasion of Global Tiger-Day, PCCF (Wild Life) and Chief Wildlife Warden of Chhattisgarh Mr. Sudhir Agarwal, Field Director of Achanakmar Tiger Reserve Mr. S. Jagdishan, Field Director of Indravati Tiger Reserve Mr. R.K. Pandey, members of the Self-Help Group/Eco Development Committee from all the three Tiger Reserves and other forest department officials participated.
Mr. Gujral Singh of Bastar got first prize in tribal art category
On the occasion of World Tiger Day, a painting competition was organized across the country in July. There was no age limit for participating in the competition. Mr. Gujral Singh Baghel of Bastar, who participated in this competition, got first place in the country in Tribal Art category. Mr. Sudhir Agarwal, PCCF Wildlife received the award from the hands of Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Mr. Ashwini Kumar Choubey.
