The state government is working through Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) to provide employment to the women and youth of the state as well as to provide opportunities to the entrepreneurs. With these efforts of the government, people are becoming financially empowered. Business is being promoted in Ripa according to the availability of local resources. Sufficient employment is also being created through livelihood oriented activities. With the successful operation of this initiative in rural areas, it has been expanded to urban areas as well.
Youth are working to make stationery material
The youth of Sankara village of Bemetara district are engaged in making stationery items in Ripa. A stationery-print unit has been set up at RIPA. In which 10 youths of Yuva Vikas Samiti village Sankara are employed. Secretary of the committee Devmati Sahu told that they are making various stationery products like copy, register, diary, file, pamphlet by bringing raw material from neighboring Durg district. The products prepared in Ripa are being made available in government and non-government offices, schools, schools and ashrams as per the demand. He told that recently he has received an order for five thousand pieces of measurement book, file cover, file pad, register from Janpad Panchayat Berla. At the same time, about 500 orders for 250 register file covers, file pads and other material have been received from the Education Department, Berla. Chairman of the committee Mr. Rakesh Chaturvedi said that this unit has been established recently. So they’re marketing it too, So that people get information about it so that they can get more orders. Their efforts have received good response from the local market and offices and the quality of the products has also been appreciated. Continuous efforts are being made by the state government for employment opportunities and social upliftment in rural areas. The members of the committee say that the rural economy has also gained momentum through RIPA. Rural youths are getting an opportunity to learn new skills and their self-confidence has also increased. It is also proving to be inspirational for other youths.
