A meeting of the Council of Ministers was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel at his residence office here today. Important decisions were taken in the meeting:-
# The Government of Chhattisgarh has taken an important decision to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) by 5 percent while giving a big gift to the government employees of the state. Due to this, the state government will have an additional financial burden of one thousand crore rupees every year.
# Giving another gift to the government employees, the state government has reduced the eligibility period for full pension from 33 years to 30 years, as well as the qualifying service period for voluntary retirement has been reduced from 20 years to 17 years.
# The draft of the Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill-2023 was approved for the presentation of the first supplementary estimate year 2023-2024.
Relaxing the recruitment rule to fill 3722 vacant posts of teachers and 5577 posts of assistant teachers in Bastar and Surguja divisions, it was decided to remove the obligation of subject-wise recruitment of posts in the approved setup.
# The market price guideline rates have been reduced by 30 percent by the state government to provide housing to the common people at cheap rates. Whose effectiveness was till 31 March 2023. An important decision was taken to extend this exemption till March 31, 2024.
# It has been decided to provide relaxation in the prescribed criteria of population in implementation of Chief Minister’s announcement to make Gram Panchayat Sambalpur in Bemetara district, Gram Panchayat Bhanwarpur in Mahasamund district and Gram Panchayat Lal Bahadur Nagar in Rajnandgaon district as Nagar Panchayats.
# In the state of Chhattisgarh, for the empowerment of women and upgradation of their economic status, while amending the Industrial Policy 2019-24, the proposal to include Women Entrepreneurship Policy 2023 was approved.
# It was decided to give exemption in stamp duty, registration fee and urban body fee on the basis of amount payable at the time of allotment of government land in urban areas, management of encroached land and conversion of non-concessional and concessional permanent pattas into landowner rights.
# It was decided to purchase the required quantity of sugar from cooperative sugar factories of the state from April 2023 to March 2024 for distribution of sugar to Antyodaya and priority ration card holders under the public distribution system in the state. The purchase price of sugar was fixed at Rs 33,000 per tonne.
# It was decided to relax the validity period of the selection list issued for appointment to the post of cartographer, tracer and mining constable in the Mineral Resources Department for one year.
# It was decided to accept the pay scale of 3050-4590 of all the forest guards appointed after the approval of departmental setup in the Forest Department on March 26, 2003.
# Deputy Collector of State Administrative Service Cadre, junior grade pay scale in combined collector senior grade pay scale in the year 2017 batch and about 18 state administrative service junior grade officers coming in the jurisdiction were given senior grade pay scale against the vacant senior posts as before It was decided to leave.

# Non-Government Higher Secondary School Chhaparwa Development Block Lormi, run by senior social worker Mr. Prabhudutt Khera, is currently run by Sanctuary Teachers Committee, it was decided to amalgamate 07 employees already working here by adjusting them in the approved setup for this school.
# It was decided to give appointment in government service to the family member of Mr. Sahu, who died in the incident that took place on 08/04/2023 in Village Biranpur, Tehsil-Saja, District Bemetara.
# According to the tripartite agreement and project implementation plan under Chirag project with external aid from World Bank and IFED, decision was taken regarding project operation procedures.
# b. V. Sc Graduate Course Passed Asst.Phys. It was decided to provide one-time exemption to eight percent fixed for promotion from Officer (Class III) to the post of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (Gazetted Class II) cadre.

# It was decided to give exemption in the prescribed amount of government land allotted in Raipura village for the construction of social building and hostel of the applicant Raipur Raj Dewangan Kalyan Samaj, Raipur.
# It was decided to return the compensation amount paid by surrendering the total area of 1012.48 acres of land in village Chakarbhata, Bilaspur for the establishment of military cantonment of Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
# “The draft of amendment in the guidelines for the implementation of Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhoomihin Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana was approved.
# Under the Central Motor Vehicles (24th Amendment) Rules, 2021, a decision was taken regarding adding the fourth schedule in the Chhattisgarh Motor Vehicle Taxation Act, 1991 and scrapping of old vehicles, while implementing concession in “51A” motor vehicle tax.
# It was decided to increase the validity period of the merit list for the recruitment of Food Inspectors 2022 by 06 months.
# The draft of amendment in Chhattisgarh State Hydroelectric Project (Pump Storage Based) Establishment Policy, 2022 was approved.
