Raipur, 25 May 2020. The process of providing free food and food packets to the poor, workers from other places and destitute people is going on in all the districts of the state of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. On May 25, one lakh 8 thousand 292 needy, laborers and destitute were provided free food and food packets in relief camps set up across the state to help the needy due to the lockdown due to corona infection. Masks, sanitizers and daily necessities are also being provided to the needy with the help of district administration, red crosses and voluntary organizations for prevention of corona infection. According to the report received from the districts on May 25, 14 thousand 910 masks and sanitizers, soap etc. have been distributed to the needy with the help of voluntary organizations.

It is noteworthy that so far 78 lakh 14 thousand 87 people have been provided free food and food packets in Chhattisgarh state through relief camps run by the administration in collaboration with social organizations and donors. So far, 48 lakh 73 thousand 980 mask sanitizer and other materials have been distributed free of cost to the common man for the prevention of corona infection with the help of voluntary organizations.

Janjgir-Champa district, with the cooperation of government and social organizations, has been provided free food and ration to the maximum 41,490 people in the state on 25 May, besides distributing masks and other materials to keep them safe from corona contagious disease.
