Program organized for distribution of funds to the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyaya Yojana started at Chief Minister’s residence

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel transferred an amount of Rs 18 crore 47 lakh online to the beneficiaries of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana.

Out of this, from June 15 to June 30, 5.05 crore rupees were given in lieu of purchase of 2.52 lakh quintals of cow dung from cattle herders, villagers, farmers and landless people in Gothans.

Dividend amount of Rs.7.79 crore was distributed to Gothan committees and Rs.5.53 crore to women groups

Including the amount disbursed today, Rs 507.14 crore has been paid to the beneficiaries of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana.

Out of this Rs 247.12 crore has been paid to cow dung vendors.

So far Rs 244.95 crore has been paid to Gauthan committees and self-help groups.

Cow dung is being procured in Chhattisgarh from July 20, 2020 under Godhan Nyaya Yojana at Rs.2/kg

Till June 30, 2023, 123.56 lakh quintals of cow dung has been procured in Gothans in the state.

Women’s groups have so far earned Rs 158 crore 42 lakh from income-oriented activities.

There are 17,486 women self-help groups directly linked to Gothans in the state, whose membership is 2,05,817.

Electricity and natural paint and other materials are also being produced from purchased cow dung in Gauthans.

Apart from this, production of vegetables and mushrooms, poultry, goat, fish farming and animal husbandry, as well as various income-oriented activities are being conducted by women groups in Gothans.

So far cow dung worth Rs 64.61 crore has been purchased by 5959 self-supporting Gauthans of the state from their own resources.

Out of the Rs 5.05 crore released today for the purchase of cow dung, Rs 2.92 crore has been paid by the self-supporting Gothans and Rs 2.13 crore by the Agriculture Department.

The Chief Minister wished the people of the state for the coming Hareli festival on 17th of this month.

The Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state, village Patels and farmers to make complete preparations for ‘Roka-Cheka’ in the villages from July 6 to July 17.

He said that with this the crop can be saved from stray animals.

The Chief Minister said that Munadi should be done in the villages.

Arrangement of water and fodder should be made for animals in Gothans.
