Under the “One Nation, One Ration Card Scheme” on the instructions of the Government of India, 100 percent e-KYC process for the beneficiaries of the National Food Security Act will now be done by July 31, 2023. For the complete implementation of ‘One Nation, One Ration Card Scheme’, it is necessary to authenticate the Aadhaar information of all the members of the ration card. Due to incorrect registration of Aadhaar details of the beneficiaries in the ration cards and non-authentication of Aadhaar information, there is a problem in distribution of food grains. Beneficiaries whose Aadhaar is registered in the departmental database. Authentication of their Aadhaar information is being done for e-KYC.
Officials of the Food Department said that e-KYC facility is available in the e-pos equipment provided to government fair price shops operating in the state. The process of e-KYC is completely free. For the action of e-KYC, the head of the ration card holder and all the members registered in the ration card will reach the government fair price shop with their respective Aadhaar numbers. Only after that the vendor will complete the e-KYC process by entering the Aadhaar number of each member separately in the e-Pos device and getting their finger print scanned.
