Janjgir-Champa district pioneer in providing domestic tap connections

The work of providing free domestic tap connections in the rural areas of the state is being done at a fast pace. Domestic tap connections are to be given to 50 lakh 10 thousand 563 families under the campaign being run for the supply of pure drinking water in the houses under the Jal Jeevan Mission in the state. Under which at present 25 lakh 29 thousand 416 domestic tap connections have been given. Along with this, arrangements have been made to supply pure drinking water through tap taps in 43 thousand 978 schools, 41 thousand 725 Anganwadi centers and 17 thousand 290 gram panchayat buildings and community sub-health centers of the state. In which Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh is leading in providing domestic tap connections to maximum 2 lakh 25 thousand 482 rural families. Similarly, Rajnandgaon district is on second and third place respectively in providing domestic tap connections to 1 lakh 76 thousand 104 families and Raigarh district to 1 lakh 48 thousand 994 families.
Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, being run under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and under the guidance of Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar, pure drinking water is being made available at the rate of 55 liters per person per day in the state, for this an action plan has been prepared in all the districts. Taxes are being done fast. Under this mission, in addition to domestic tap connections, arrangements for running water are also being made in schools, sub-health centers and Anganwadi centers. Along with the implementation of works of Jal Jeevan Mission including single village scheme and multi village scheme and other drinking water schemes in the state at the ground level, Secretary Public Health Engineering Dr. S. Constant monitoring is being done by Bharathidasan and Mission Director Mr. Alok Katiyar.
So far under Jal Jeevan Mission, 1 lakh 36 thousand 381 in Raipur district, 1 lakh 24 thousand 898 in Dhamtari district, 1 lakh 23 thousand 339 in Balodabazar-Bhatapara, 1 lakh 23 thousand 295 in Mahasamund district, Kawardha 1 lakh 13 thousand 697 , 1 lakh 8 thousand 651 in Bilaspur district, 1 lakh 07 thousand 758 in Durg and one lakh 04 thousand 891 tap connections have been given in Bemetara district. Similarly, one lakh 02 thousand 392 in Mungeli, 99 thousand 601 in Balod, 84 thousand 479 in Gariaband, 76 thousand 459 in Balrampur, 75 thousand 169 in Surguja district, 74 thousand 919 in Jashpur, 71 thousand 401 in Korba, 68 thousand in Surajpur. 823, Bastar 67 thousand, Kanker 65 thousand 152, Kondagaon 64 thousand 717, Korea 63 thousand 131, Gorela-Pendra-Marwahi 32 thousand 109, Sukma 26 thousand 393, Bijapur 24 thousand 494, Dantewada 23 thousand 064 And in Narayanpur district, 16 thousand 623 rural families have been given domestic tap connections.
