An amount of Rs 12.70 crore was transferred online to the accounts of the beneficiaries of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana.

The share of self-supporting Gauthans increased from 60 to 70 percent in the purchase of cow dung.

Payment of Rs 488 crore 67 lakh to the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyaya Yojana so far

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that there is a delay in rains this year, but it is expected that there will be good rains in the coming time and the crop will also be bountiful. It is natural for the farmers to be worried about the delay in rains. Assuring the farmers, the Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh government is standing with the farmers at every step. I have instructed the officers to make all kinds of preparations to deal with any situation. Farmers should not face any kind of problem in the work of agriculture.

The Chief Minister was addressing the fund transfer program to the beneficiaries of the Godhan Nyay Yojana at his residence office here today. Mr. Baghel paid Rs 12 crore 72 lakh in the account of the beneficiaries of the scheme in the programme. He made an online transfer of Rs 4 crore 79 lakh in lieu of 2.40 lakh quintal cow dung purchased from cattle herders, villagers, farmers and landless in Gothans from June 1 to June 15. Similarly, Rs 4.67 crore was paid to Gothan committees and Rs 3.26 crore to women groups. The Chief Minister said that today, on the auspicious day of Rath Yatra, the amount was transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana. He wished everyone for the Rath Yatra.
It is noteworthy that including the amount transferred by the Chief Minister today, an amount of Rs 488 crore 67 lakh has been paid to the beneficiaries of the Godhan Nyay Yojana. Till June 15, 2023, 121.04 lakh quintals of cow dung has been purchased in Gothans in the state, in lieu of which Rs 242 crore 7 lakh has been paid to the cow dung vendors. Similarly, Rs 231 crore 53 lakh has been paid to Gauthan committees and women self-help groups.
The Chief Minister said that the participation of self-supporting Gauthans in the purchase of cow dung is continuously increasing. For several fortnights, the share of self-supporting Gothans in the amount being paid for the purchase of cow dung has started to remain 60 to 70 percent. So far Rs 61.69 crore has been paid in lieu of cow dung purchased by self-supporting Gothans from their own funds. Out of the amount of Rs 4.79 crore transferred to cow dung vendors today, Rs 1.90 crore has been paid by the Agriculture Department and Rs 2.89 crore has been paid by the self-supporting Gauthans in lieu of purchase of cow dung.
Farmers trend towards organic farming  
The Chief Minister said that today the trend of farmers towards organic farming is increasing in the state. The Godhan Nyaya Yojana has also contributed in this. Under the scheme, more than 35 lakh 6 thousand quintals of vermi compost was produced by women groups in Gothans from cow dung purchased under the scheme, out of which about 16 lakh 56 thousand quintals of vermi compost have been used by farmers in their fields. 6 lakh 34 thousand quintal vermi compost is ready in 7300 gothans of the state. Vermicompost will continue to be supplied to the farmers.
Appealing to the people of the state to avoid heat wave,
the Chief Minister said that these days it is very hot in the state. Loo is also going on a lot. I appeal to all of you to save yourself and your children from heat stroke. Take all precautions regarding the health of your family.
Chief Minister’s Advisor Mr. Pradeep Sharma, Parliamentary Secretary Mrs. Rashmi Ashish Singh, MLA Mr. Laljit Singh Rathia, Mr. Chakradhar Singh Sidar, Mr. Purushottam Kanwar, Mr. Mohit Ram, Dr. K.K. Dhruv, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrat Sahu, Director Agriculture Mrs. Ranu Sahu and concerned officers were present. Dr. Ayaz Tamboli, Nodal Officer of Narva, Garuva, Ghurva, Bari Yojana informed about the progress of Godhan Nyay Yojana during the programme.
