Chhattisgarh Chief Minister attended the swearing-in ceremony of newly elected office bearers of Kosaria Marar-Patel society
Raipur, 17 June 2023
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that the Kosariya Marar-Patel society of Chhattisgarh is a hardworking society. In which women also work shoulder to shoulder with men in their fields day and night. There is a sense of equality in the society, along with men, women also have the status of equality. This is a sign of progressive society. He said that today education is very important for the progress of any society. The newly elected office bearers of this society have got a big responsibility to work in the interest of the society, in the field of employment, in the field of education, in the field of health, in the field of social reform. The Chief Minister said that the tax spread across the state has been abolished. Action will be taken on receipt of complaints against those who collect the tax.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel was addressing the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected office-bearers of the society organized by the Chhattisgarh Kosaria Marar Patel Samaj at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Auditorium, located in the Science College campus of capital Raipur today. In the ceremony, he administered oath to all the newly elected office bearers of the society to discharge their duties towards social policies and responsibilities. The program was presided over by the State President of Kosaria Marar Patel Samaj Mr. Rajendra Nayak Patel. On this occasion, President of Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation Mr. Girish Dewangan, member of Shakambhari Board Mr. Pawan Patel, newly elected president of Chhattisgarh Kosaria Marar Patel society Mr. Sunil Patel along with Mr. Rajendra Prasad Patel, Mr. Vidyabhushan Shukla and a large number of office bearers and members of the society. was present .
Congratulating and best wishes to all the newly elected office bearers at the ceremony, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that today a huge executive body of 105 people took oath in this swearing-in ceremony. All of you have got a huge responsibility. He said that all of you are descendants of those great men who did social reform work in the whole country, like Jyotiba Phule, who made his wife the first teacher in the whole country. I am proud that I have also received Jyotiba Phule Samman. It is my good fortune that I went there. I saw the house where the shunned people of any society, who were thrown out of the house, were given shelter, Where the work of making illiterate people literate was done. That Baoli also saw that well where all the people of the society were allowed to drink water. He fought against untouchability. Today in our Chhattisgarh Patel society is a hardworking society and I can say that in our society men earn and hand over to women. But in Marar society, on the contrary, women provide income to men by working hard. I salute all such mothers who are sitting here today.
The Chief Minister said that today in many other societies evils like purdah are prevalent, women are not allowed to work outside, but in Marar Samaj, Patel used to draw water from Rahat (Teda) in Bari and women used to handle the work of Bari. This is a society that works hard day and night. A society that works hard day and night from before sunrise to after sunset. Along with hard work, education should also be there in our society, there is a sense of equality in the society, education is very important for the progress of the society, without education no society can progress.
In relation to the demand of the society for a social building in Raipur, the Chief Minister said that during the meeting, financial assistance was given to those societies which were in need of a building in every Vidhansabha. Instructions were given to the district administration to provide land to those who were in need of it. The people of Chhattisgarh follow the Rishi tradition. We have to take only what we need from nature. We don’t have the tendency to save money, that’s why the people of our Chhattisgarh society do not have money. Earlier, marriage programs or all other social programs used to be held in homes only. Now-a-days buildings are taken on rent for almost all the programmes, in such a time all societies need buildings. All the societies were helped for the building. So that due to non-availability of the building, any society does not face any difficulty for conducting any programme.
Provision of hostel for boys and girls of backward classes
The Chief Minister said that in this year’s budget, we have made a provision of 100-100 seater hostels for backward class boys and girls in all divisional headquarters so that our children who want to come to Raipur, Bilaspur and study do not face any inconvenience. . Now, wherever I go, people have started demanding vegetable market, even in Jashpur Gaya, people have demanded vegetable market. Bastar is now emerging as a big market in terms of vegetables, be it papaya, chili, all are being produced there. Cold chain should be made in Chhattisgarh. We have to work in this direction so that our vegetables do not spoil quickly and the producers get higher prices. Last time in the social conference of Marar society, on the demand of the society, I have also announced the holiday of Shakambhari Jayanti.
