Chhattisgarh’s women’s football team created history by performing brilliantly in the first Khelo India Tribal Games National Championship in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The final match was played today between the women’s football team of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. In this, the Chhattisgarh team won the gold medal by defeating Jharkhand 2-0 in the tiebreaker. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and Sports Minister Mr. Umesh Patel have congratulated the players for winning the gold medal by performing brilliantly.
In the final match between Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand held in Bhubaneswar, both the teams showed their full strength in the field, but both the teams could not score any goal in the stipulated time and the result of the match came out of the tiebreaker. In the tiebreaker, both the teams were given a chance to score five goals each.
In the match, Kiran Pisda, a practicing player at the Girls Football Academy, Raipur, did not give a single chance to the opposing team to score a goal while performing the responsibility of the goalkeeper in the tiebreaker. On the other hand, in the tie-breaker from Chhattisgarh team, Kiran Pisda himself and Muskan of Bastar won the gold medal by scoring 1-1 goals each. Earlier, Chhattisgarh’s women’s football team had entered the final by defeating Tripura 4-0 in the women’s football semi-final played on June 11. In this competition, Kiran Pisda, a player of Girls Football Academy, Raipur, scored three goals, while Pinky Kashyap of Bastar scored one goal. Sports Secretary Mr. Neelam Namdev Ekka, Sports Director Mrs. Shweta Srivastava Sinha and officials and sports lovers have congratulated and congratulated the players.

Chhattisgarh’s team continues to perform brilliantly in the Khelo India Tribal Games National Championship. In this competition held earlier today, Kuber Singh of Residential Archery Academy, Bilaspur got the silver medal in 30 meters and stood second in the overall championship. Similarly, Kumari Tarnika Teta, a player of Residential Athletic Academy Bilaspur, won a silver medal in the 100 meter women’s event. It is noteworthy that 5000 athletes from 18 states are participating in this competition being organized in Bhubaneswar.
