Raipur, 09 June 2023, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel participated in the inauguration program of the annual convention of Chandranahu Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj at Gandhi Maidan in Kawardha today. While addressing the convention, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that Kurmi society is an agriculture-based society and has been associated with farming since the beginning. Keeping in mind the farming class of the state, the government is running several schemes in the interest of the farmers. He said that our forefathers Late Dr. Khubchand Baghel, Late Dr. Chandulal Chandrakar and other forefathers had a dream to create Chhattisgarh state and improve the condition of Chhattisgarhi farmers, laborers, laborers, poor and backward sections. The condition of Chhattisgarh should improve in all areas including education, health, employment. We have tried to improve the condition of people of all sections of the society in four and a half years. On this occasion, the representatives of the society honored the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel by wearing nagar, sword and turban symbolizing the farmers. Earlier, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the hostel building constructed by the society. Pandaria MLA Smt. Mamta Chandrakar, Chairman of Apex Bank Shri Baijnath Chandrakar, Member of State Backward Classes Commission Shri Mahesh Chandravanshi were present in the session.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that after coming to power, we first waived the loans of the farmers. Along with paddy, Kodo, Kutki, Ragi, Maize and Sugarcane are being procured in the support price. This improved the economic condition of the farmers. Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Godhan Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Landless Agricultural Laborer Nyay Yojana have brought changes in the economic condition of farmers and villagers. The farmers of the state have become debt free. He said that due to the farmer-friendly policies of the government, people’s interest in agriculture has increased in the state. People who have given up farming have also started joining farming. He said that the number of farmers selling paddy on support price and the amount of paddy production in the state have doubled in the last four and a half years. The registered paddy area has now increased to 32 lakh hectares.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that he is visiting all the states of the country and has met the farmers. Farmers of other states also want that like the farmers of Chhattisgarh, they too should get the benefits of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Today the Chhattisgarh model is being discussed all over the country. In Chhattisgarh, our villagers, farmers, cattle rearers are buying motor cycles by selling cow dung. Vermicompost, natural paint is being prepared from cow dung, which is being used for painting all government offices. Women have started getting employment in the village itself through RIPA established in Gothans.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that according to the dreams of the forefathers, with the cooperation of all of you, a hostel has been built here today. Today the students of Vananchal area Sukma, Bastar are coming in the merit list. He said that Chhattisgarhi tradition is being promoted to maintain the identity of Chhattisgarh. Public holidays have been declared for Hareli, Teeja, Dussehra and Chhattisgarhi festivals. The culture and cuisine of Chhattisgarh is being promoted. Raj Geet has been made in honor of Chhattisgarh, due to which now it seems that there is a government of Chhattisgarhi in Chhattisgarh and the dreams of forefathers are coming true. On this occasion, a large number of people including the president of the society Mr. Lal Bahadur Chandravanshi, Mr. Lalji Chandravanshi, Mr. Shivkumar Chandravanshi, District Panchayat members Tukaram Chandravanshi, Mr. Neelkanth Chandravanshi and social officials were present.
