When you have the passion to do something, then even difficult situations do not deter you and success will definitely kiss your feet one day or the other. This has been proved by Anjali Khalkho, a resident of village Civildag in Balrampur-Ramanujganj district. Today, due to her talent and hard work, she is bringing laurels to the country and the state by playing with the Indian baseball team. Anjali was recently a part of the Indian team in the Women’s Asia Baseball Championship held in Hong Kong. In which Indian team stood at 06th position at Asia level. Anjali will participate in the competition to be held in Canada in the coming December.

   Recognizing the talent of Anjali Khalkho, she was provided cooperation and opportunities from time to time by the Chhattisgarh government and district administration. Civildag is a small village in Kusmi block. Anjali, daughter of Mr. Riju Khalkho, a farmer and Mrs. Rajmani Khalkho, an employee working in the Women and Child Development Department, says that she started playing baseball from class 6th itself. He credits his achievement to his family, coach Mr. Akhtar Khan, Giving her support to her sports teacher Ms. Hemlata, she says that everyone has constantly inspired her to play since childhood. Anjali says that Chhattisgarh government and district administration have played an important role in her present achievements along with her family support. He said that due to his family’s financial condition not being good, he appealed to the administration for cooperation. After this, he got full cooperation from Chhattisgarh government and district administration. Because of which they have been able to reach this point today.

     Anjali did her primary education from government primary schools like Larangi and Ratasili. After this he took class 6th education from Bilaspur. Presently he is pursuing Bachelor of Physical Education in Raipur. She started her game in Bilaspur itself after which she became a part of the Indian team playing at section, district and state level. Anjali shared her achievements by meeting Collector Shri Remijius Ekka. Anjali told that in her sports journey, she has won many other medals including gold medal in national level competitions. While congratulating Anjali, the Collector appreciated her achievements and wished her all the best for her bright future.

       Anjali Khalkho has thanked Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel for providing good facilities to the sportspersons in the state by the government, construction of new sports grounds as well as other infrastructures and providing opportunities to players of all ages by organizing Chhattisgarh Olympics .
