Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel while paying tributes to the famous painter Mr. Habib Tanveer on his death anniversary on June 8 remembered his contribution in the field of acting and art. Recalling the contributions of Mr. Habib Tanveer, Mr. Baghel said that Habib Tanveer was the pride of Chhattisgarh. He took the art of this region to the national and international forums.
It is worth mentioning that famous artist, dramatist and director Late Mr. Habib Tanveer was born in Chhattisgarh. Late Mr. Habib Tanveer, rich in versatility, wrote songs for Hindi films and also acted in some films. Composed many plays. Habib Tanveer received the Padma Vibhushan in the year 2002. His major works include Agra Bazar (1954), Charandas Chor (1975). The state government has also announced award in the name of Habib Tanveer to keep his contributions intact in the field of painting.
