The government took action in the matter of negligence in the investigation of the complaints received against the specialized adoption agency Kanker.

The then in-charge District Program Officer, Women and Child Development Chandrashekhar Mishra has been suspended by the Government of Chhattisgarh. This action of suspension has been taken in the case of negligence in the investigation of the complaints received against the specialized adoption agency Kanker run by Pratigya Vikas Sansthan Durg. As per the order issued on June 5 by the Special Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Mahanadi Bhawan, Mr. Mishra’s headquarters has been fixed at Rajnandgaon, District Program Officer’s office during the suspension period. It is worth mentioning that Chandrashekhar Mishra was currently posted as Nodal Officer (District Women and Child Development Officer) in District Mohla-Manpur Chowki.
