Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel planted Amla sapling in his residence premises on the occasion of World Environment Day today. On this occasion, he appealed to the people of the state to plant saplings in and around their homes and take the responsibility of keeping the plants alive. Mr. Baghel said that in the coming monsoon, plant more and more trees and make your village, Gauthan, fields and forests very green. Advisor to Chief Minister Mr. Pradeep Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrata Sahu, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force Mr. V. Srinivasa Rao were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is making every possible effort to protect the environment. One of the objectives of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana of the state government is to conserve and promote the environment. The state government is constantly working to improve its environment through schemes like Suraji Gaon Yojana, Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Promotion Scheme, Vriksha Sampada Yojana, Krishna Kunj Yojana, river bank plantation, fruit tree plantation.
