Devki’s mother requested the collector in Jan Chaupal

According to the intention of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the administration is trying to ensure that every needy person gets the benefit of health services. In this effort, Devki Thakur, a resident of village Harrakoder in the sensitive area of Bastar district, was successfully operated for cataract in her right eye. 15-year-old Devki Thakur studies in class VII, Devki had cataract in both eyes since childhood. Whose treatment was successfully done for cataract of the right eye at Government Medical College Hospital, Dimrapal on Saturday, the operation was done by eye doctor and nodal officer Dr. Sarita Thomas and team. After the operation, Devki has started seeing properly.
It is to be known that Collector Mr. Vijay Dayaram K. On June 1, Devki’s mother told about her daughter’s eye and mental problems when he was interacting with the villagers by setting up a chaupal in village Harracoder of Lohandiguda development block. The collector had immediately instructed BMO Lohandiguda Dr. Narayan Nag to take the girl child Devki to the district hospital or medical hospital for better treatment. In compliance of this, the team of Lohandiguda Health Center took Devki to Dimrapal Medical Hospital and got Devki’s cataract operated successfully. After treatment of both the eyes, counseling will be done for his mental illness.
Under the guidance of the district administration, the health department is working in mission mode to make Bastar district a cataract-free district. For which the intensive survey campaign was started from May 15, the operation of the cataract patients identified in the survey has been started. Cataract operations have been performed on 35 patients during the cataract survey. Regular operations are being done at Government Medical College Hospital, Dimrapal. Under the campaign, free screening, examination and treatment facilities have been made available to people of all age groups.
