Gave guidance to everyone to conduct elections with seriousness and precaution
Training of RO and ARO in view of general and by-elections of urban bodies and three-tier panchayats

Chhattisgarh State Election Commission has released the program for general and by-elections of three-tier panchayat and urban bodies. All ROs and AROs were trained through a virtual meeting in this regard through video conferencing in the presence of Chhattisgarh State Election Commission Commissioner Mr. Thakur Ram Singh and Secretary Mr. Mohammad Kaiser Abdul Haq from 3 pm today. Commissioner Mr. Singh stressed upon the present people to complete the election work with utmost seriousness. He also instructed that in the areas of urban bodies and panchayats where elections are to be held, the model code of conduct should be followed.
In the meeting, training was given for conducting the local elections in a fair and free manner and for preparations related to voting. Apart from this, necessary guidelines were also given on the arrangement of the counting place. In the meeting, information was given about various forms to be used during elections. Along with this, the format and report to be sent to the commission was also explained in detail.
It is noteworthy that nomination papers are being taken for the local elections from today, which will be taken till June 9. Elections are to be held on 763 vacant posts of urban bodies in nine wards of nine municipalities of eight districts of the state and three-tier panchayats in 33 districts of the state. In this, by-elections are to be held on 621 posts and general elections on 142 vacant posts. In today’s training session, Commission’s Deputy Secretary Mr. Deepak Agarwal, along with Under Secretaries Mr. Alok Srivastava and Pranay Verma and other officers of the Commission and Returning and Assistant Returning Officers from the districts participated.
