The solid implementation of the basic objective of any plan is the basis of its success. Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park is one such successful scheme run in the state by the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, which improved the lives of the people and made them financially capable. Through RIPA, people are getting connected with employment and are moving forward towards fulfilling their dreams. Not only are quality products being prepared at the local level in Ripa, but all measures have been implemented to make the products available in the market, the benefits of which are now being received by the people associated with Ripa.
Implementation of the objectives and goals of RIPA is starting at the ground level in Dantewada district. In the initial phase, the materials and products manufactured in RIPA were being sold in government offices as per the demand. Along with this, supplies were also being made to the wholesalers. But now, in view of the demand for Ripa’s products, it is also being sold in the local haat markets for the purpose of making it accessible to the general public. In this episode, various products of “RIPA” such as paper cups, cow dung paint, tora oil, different varieties of organic rice, millet, jaggery chikki are also available for sale in the Dantewada weekly market place.
District RIPA Nodal Officer of the National Rural Livelihood Mission of the district Mr. Nitesh Kumar Dewangan said that a total of 8 “RIPA” are working in the district, in which 25 activities are currently being conducted. Efforts are being made to provide employment to at least 50 beneficiaries in each “RIPA” soon. At present, 94 women groups and 110 youths are getting employment under the industrial park of the district. Along with this, so far more than 24 lakh material has been produced in “RIPA” of the district.
Due to its purity and quality, the materials being manufactured by self-help groups and youth in Ripa are establishing themselves as a brand by making inroads in the public mind. In the coming time, those working women groups will get full benefit of this, who, with their untiring hard work, are manufacturing these materials and making them available to us sitting at home.
