According to the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the certification and orientation training program of the state’s Electoral Registration Officers and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers was organized by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Chhattisgarh on 20 and 21 May 2023 at Thakur Pyarelal Rajya Panchayat and Rural Development Institute, Nimora. All the Electoral Registration Officers and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers of the state participated in it. In the training, all the officers were given detailed information about the constitutional and legal provisions related to the preparation of electoral rolls.
Addressing all the Electoral Registration Officers and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers in the training programme, Chief Electoral Officer Smt. Reena Babasaheb Kangale said that the successful conduct of any election depends on the correctness of the electoral roll of that constituency. Keeping in mind the upcoming assembly elections, the trainees showed keen interest in this training organized for the orientation of all the participants. Highlighting its importance, the Chief Electoral Officer further said that this training program will provide the participants with a good knowledge of the rules and regulations regarding the preparation of electoral roll of their constituency, so that they will be able to perform excellent electoral work in their area.
