Instructions for production of vermicompost in sufficient quantity in Gauthans for the upcoming Kharif season

Additional Chief Secretary of Panchayat and Rural Development Department Mr. Subrat Sahu reviewed the progress of departmental schemes after holding a meeting of senior officers, chief executive officers of all district panchayats and deputy directors posted in all districts today and gave necessary instructions. In view of the upcoming Kharif season, he gave instructions to produce vermicompost in sufficient quantity in Gothans. Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Sahu asked to complete the works in progress under MNREGA expeditiously. He instructed to complete the works under construction for the financial years 2021-22 and 2022-23 by May 31. He asked officers-employees to get regular training to bring uniformity and tightness in departmental works. He congratulated all the officers for completing the survey work for the Chhattisgarh Socio-Economic Survey-2023 within the time limit.
In the review meeting, Advisor to the Chief Minister Mr. Pradeep Sharma asked to conduct livelihood oriented activities according to the local needs in the Rural Industrial Park being developed in the state. To strengthen the rural economy, he asked the RIPA centers to connect people of all classes along with families associated with traditional businesses. Along with this, he also asked to keep the Gothans continuously developed. In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrata Sahu asked the officials to motivate more and more villagers to join the schemes run by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. This will increase the income of the people and strengthen the rural economy. He instructed to set up a natural paint making unit from cow dung in at least one RIPA center in every development block.
Mr. Sahu asked for speedy settlement of rejected cases of payment of wages under MNREGA and timely payment. He asked to speed up the works of solid and liquid waste management along with the construction of family toilets and community toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin). He directed to complete the works of Narva treatment at the earliest by making better coordination with the Forest Department.
