Raipur. In Chhattisgarh, preparations for the assembly elections-2023 have been started by all the parties. Election preparations start with the survey itself. According to different reports, Congress, BJP as well as other parties have completed two to three rounds of survey in Chhattisgarh. At the same time, many media organizations have also conducted surveys assessing the present situation in Chhattisgarh.

By the way, the news is also that the MLAs have also got the survey done through many agencies to know their current situation. The party and the government have also taken the feedback of the MLAs through agencies. A few months ago, in one such survey report, it was said that the condition of about 40 MLAs of the ruling party is not good. The news also went that the MLAs have been asked to improve their performance. The latest update among all this is that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has received the ground report of 80 percent of the MLAs. The Chief Minister himself went to the ground and assessed the work of the government and the performance of the MLAs. The Chief Minister has taken feedback directly from the public and not through any agency. In fact, the Chief Minister has been visiting the Legislative Assemblies of Chhattisgarh for the last one year. So far the Chief Minister has visited 72 Vidhan Sabhas. Exactly on today’s date, 4 May 2022, the Chief Minister started the meet-meet programme. Meet-meet program A program in which the Chief Minister goes directly to the public and sets up a chaupal. The Chief Minister interacts with the public. The Chief Minister questions and answers people about the implementation and benefits of his important schemes. Not only this, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also takes night rest in the assembly constituency and meets social organizations as well as public representatives separately.

In this series of meetings, it is evident that the Chief Minister is directly assessing the presence of the MLAs among the public and the condition of the government by going to the ground. The order is still in progress. About 18 Vidhan Sabhas are still left, where the Chief Minister has to go for a meeting. After the meeting in the remaining assemblies, the ground report of all the MLAs will be with the Chief Minister. Obviously after this there will be a period of review.

Anyway, it has been told to the MLAs that the ticket will be decided on the basis of performance. In such a situation, how many MLAs have been able to live up to the expectations of the Chief Minister, it will be known in the coming few months, but the concern of the MLAs whose report is not good would naturally have increased further.

If we start counting from May 2023, only 6 months are left for the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh. Many types of pictures will come out in these 6 months. Many reports will be prepared, but when the Chief Minister himself is assessing the ground situation by going to the ground, then there is no special importance of any other kind of survey. It is another matter that even some MLAs who are in the air have completely come down to the ground after the meet-meet programme..
