Noni Suraksha Yojana is becoming a big support for daughters born in poor families. Due to this, the concern about the future of the daughters of the family has been removed. Under the scheme, one lakh rupees are provided to the daughters of poor families on completion of 18 years and 12th pass. For this, an agreement has been signed between the Life Insurance Corporation and the Women and Child Development Department. Under the Noni Suraksha Yojana, 5 thousand rupees i.e. a total of 25 thousand rupees are deposited per year for 05 years in the Life Insurance Corporation of India in the name of the registered girl child of poor families by the state government. So far, a total amount of 122.64 crore has been appropriated in the Corpus Fund in Life Insurance Corporation of India. So far 84 thousand 594 girls have been registered under Noni Suraksha Yojana.
According to the data of the census year 2001, the child sex ratio in Chhattisgarh was 975 per thousand, which decreased to 969 per thousand in the census year 2011. In this way, “Noni Suraksha Yojana” was implemented from April 01, 2014 to increase the positive thinking in the society towards the decreasing child sex ratio in the state and girls.
